A courtyard in a warehouse

On the Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 7-11 in Amsterdam we converted two warehouses, both national monuments, into nineteen new houses which are situated around an attractive, closed courtyard. The courtyard was born after part of the middle warehouse was removed. The old warehouses were so deep that we had to remove part of the buildings in order to give access to sufficient natural light. The warehouse located at number 11, was demolished and replaced by a new building designed to harmonize as much as possible with the surrounding architecture.

Our other places to live

All of our Places to Live are created with one question in mind: how can we really contribute? We want to help create a better life for our residents. And we want to support the local community – celebrating its culture and supporting its people. We thoughtfully consider both the design and experience of our places. Because whether you’re a couple checking in for a romantic weekend or a resident staying for 10 years, our approach to hospitality stays the same.
